Saturday 3rd August, 2013,
Craig rings up about smoko time from work and asks "do you want to go up the beach and camp with Gazza?" - what do you reckon the answer would be, Yes of course!! When Craig got home from work, we just threw in the swag, pergola, chairs, esky, single burner stove, food and drinks - the old camp gear needed a bit of an airing anyway, it's been a while since we used it. On our way about lunchtime. No Boris for this camp, unfortunately doggies aren't allowed up the Noosa Northshore now, so our mate Shayne came over for the night to keep Boris company for us.
The beach has certainly gotten a lot smaller to drive on at the Noosa Northshore, but what mother nature taketh away, she will put back in good time. Maybe give mother nature a little bit of time, we've had some pretty wild weather up here over the last couple of years. It's still beautiful driving up the beach toward the Teewah Beach camping area. Remember you need to get a camping permit & vehicle permit to drive/camp on the Noosa Northshore. Head onto their website
http://www.nprsr.qld.gov.au/ or give them a call on 137468 to make a booking over the phone.

Driving up Noosa Northshore |
Being it's only up the road from us, it only took about 45mins to reach Noosa Northshore, then about another 45 pleasurable minutes to drive up the beach to have our mate Gazza running out onto the beach to get our attention as we got to the campsite. Our friends went up on Friday and had picked a nice big grassy area, apparently with a hole out the front for fishing.... and again, apparently the waves were good for a surf.....

A little step up onto our campsite |
Setting up was done at a slow pace, I mean there's no need to rush may as well enjoy our little weekend away - right! The normal things occurred during the arvo, chatting, watching Gaz go for a surf, watching the fisherman beach fishing, drinks, more chatting and relaxing.

Eventually it was time for nibbles and since the temperature was due to drop to around 8 degrees C tonight (that's cold for Queensland remember), the campfire was started about 4pm.

You really can't beat this.... |
Really there was just a lot of chatting, eating, chatting for the rest of the arvo - you get the drift.
We took the bbq plate, so dinner was done over the fire on that - steaks for some, marinated chicken steaks for us with tinny tatoes & carrots in the tin on the fire. It might sound like a basic meal, but lets be honest the most basic of meals while camping are among the yummiest - right! Sat around the campfire after dinner and enjoyed the clear skies and good company.

Relaxing around the fire |
Sunday 4th August, 2013
Good ol' bacon & egg rolls done in the fry pan on the single burner stove for breakfast, along with a good coffee of course. A fair bit of relaxing and chatting happened this morning, but eventually it was time to pack up and hit the beach around 11.30am at low tide to head home. It was nice to get away, even if it was just overnight.
